Plastic containers of pet and tritan

What does PET or TRITAN mean in plastic bottles?

It looks like glass and has the advantages of glass, but it is not glass. It is reusable plastic. It is called tritan and has come to stay definitively in the daily life of consumers.

In fact, its use and usage are fundamental in these moments of coronavirus: it is presented as a plastic material suitable for storing the disinfectant gels that we have been using to preserve our hands from infectious agents.

Tritan has emerged on the market as a new generation of recyclable and, above all, health-safe copolyester resins.

It does not contain bisphenols and, in addition to its use in the manufacture of commonly used plastic pet containers and tritan, it is also used to make animal containers and containers for some kitchen appliances such as blenders, blenders or robots.

Characteristics of plastic shredding products

Why is it advisable to use tritan for the manufacture of plastic products? Because of their many advantages: they are highly transparent, resistant to breakage, lightweight, do not transmit odours or flavours and are very practical, as they can be used in the microwave, freezer or dishwasher.

In Juypal we are aware of the need of consumers and their increasing ecological awareness due to the use of recycled products.

At Juypal we are manufacturers of reusable plastic products and for that purpose we dress the home in any corner, from the kitchen, the terrace or the garden.

A wide range of plastic products at Juypal

If you visit our online shop of reusable plastic products you will discover a wide catalogue of products made with pet tritan and pe: such as high gloss airtight jars, bottles with spray guns, round travel bottles, bottles with caps and assorted colours, multipurpose bottles, saucepans, oil cruets, with handle, without handle, of different sizes and designs.

All of them very resistant to breakage.

Tritan is not a biodegradable plastic. However, it pollutes less than other types of plastic we already know, such as PVC.

It does have the clear advantage that it is easier to recycle, so it can be transformed once its useful life is over.

If we talk about recycling, you should know that the containers of tritan and pe are discarded in the yellow container, the one of the plastic containers.

Uses of PET plastic

Also recyclable is pet (polyethylene terephthalate), a material used in the manufacture of synthetic packaging and fabrics.

It is also widely used in the manufacture of water bottles and other types of soft drinks, such as those marketed by Juypal.

However, the use of this material as a fabric predates its application as a container. It was invented as an alternative to cotton in 1941, so its use as a synthetic fibre is beyond doubt.
